Unplanned Pregnancy Facing The Consequences

Although conceiving a child is considered one of the most joyous experiences that can happen to a woman, an unplanned pregnancy can leave a woman feeling otherwise even when she is in a steady relationship.

The many responsibilities associated with motherhood, the lack of support from the father or her family, and the social stigma put on unplanned pregnancy can all make it a devastating experience. Not to mention that raging hormones during pregnancy, in general can make matters worse, leaving women who become pregnant out of wedlock to suffer more emotionally than wedded women.

Unplanned pregnancy can lead to mothers to decide on three things: abortion, adoption, or keeping the baby. Whereas abortion is legal in majority of the western countries, it isnt in nations where Christianity is the predominant religion. But even when abortion is legal it still isnt an easy decision since it often accompanies emotional, physical, and psychological problems on the mother.

How to make an unplanned pregnancy worth saving?
A small number of young people might not be aware of the consequences of pre-marital sex, with unplanned pregnancy as one of those. However, if youre not one of these people then you should be somewhat informed of the high possibility of conceiving when youre sexually active.

With that as a huge possibility (in the absence of contraceptives), unplanned pregnancy is inevitable. The guilt associated with abortions can be emotionally overbearing to the young mother than to let the unplanned pregnancy continue and hold the baby for adoption.

Today, there are a great number of couples who, for some reasons, resort to adoption and babies are highly in demand. If you believe that you or the father of the baby will be unable to provide his overall needs, then adoption would be the best option. Nobody said it will be guiltless but guilt will be of lesser degree than the decision to abort the baby.

Emotional support is greatly needed during this time, which you can get from supportive networks like friends, relatives, and most of all your parents.

Unplanned pregnancy is one of the biggest issues that transcend beyond cultural. Many unwed mothers are more prone to experience poverty in their lifetime and be dependent in welfares. Statistics show that unplanned pregnancy accounts for more than half of all pregnancies, and the sad truth is that it is most prevalent in teenage girls who are neither economically nor emotionally prepared for the situation.

Unplanned pregnancy is more than just an individuals problem but it is among the biggest factors of population growth that affects an entire nation. Thus, if youre not ready to parent a child, then by all means use contraceptives or better yet dont engage in sex at all.

I Am Bringing My Parents To Cuba And They Will Love The History And Culture

Im a history addict by nature, especially when it comes to long-standing communist regimes, as I find them very interesting to learn about. Its always fascinating to experience places stuck in time that have remained unchanged despite major globalisation in all other places in the world. After dreaming about Cuba holidays for a while, I decided to call up my parents and invited them to join me. They love to learn about new places and will find Cuba a very curious place to explore. I feel like my parents are going to want to come with me to Cuba because they are wonderful people who simply love travelling.

They always brought me along to different countries when I was younger, but I grew older and had my own life and kids to take care of. I feel like I owe it to my parents to take them to an interesting place once in a while so that we can all share quality time as a family, my parents love being around their grandchildren my children love being spoilt by their doting grandparents. A trip to Cuba will definitely be something that we all can enjoy. I am so happy that there are things in life that I can actually do with my parents again. They might not be up for running around the park, but they certainly will travel with me. I will carefully plan out what we will be doing in Cuba. After all, I am sure that my parents will be more likely to enjoy the gentle walking and sightseeing activities.

As for us; and by that I mean my wife and my children, we will probably relax in a beach resort for a few days and then all head to Havana to absorb the culture, join my parents and have our kids learn about the place they visit. My folks dont enjoy the beach as much as they used to nowadays and prefer to be out and about, they would much rather be in a city hotel with a pool than in a beach resort where theres no activity for the elderly to enjoy beside bathing. They are the cosmopolitan type of travellers, and they much prefer to hit a dancing club in Havana for a few cha cha cha steps than lying in a beach lounger sipping a mojito. If throughout their travels I learnt something as a kid, is that when travelling my parents are unstoppable and definitely not the beach bum kind.

The last leg of the Southern Nevada HealthCare Coalition (SNHC)-sponsored Free Immunization Drive which began in the Fall and ended in the Spring, held its last free flu shots event on February 27 at the Greenland Supermarket on Spring Mountain Rd. in the citys Korea Town district.

The SNHC, comprised of the Philippine Medical Association of Nevada, Philippine Nurses Association of Nevada, Center for Disease Control & Prevention, and Shots4Tots, in coordination with the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) partnered with the Asian-American Chamber of Commerce to provide free flu shots to Asian American residents of Las Vegas and neighboring cities. All in all, the SNHC has provided free immunization to close to 1,000 residents from September 2010 when it began its annual drive till February 2011.

The Annual Immunization Drive started in September 2010 with a press conference with the Asian-American media to assist in disseminating the importance of getting flu shots before the onset of winter time. The press conference was initiated by New America Media (NAM) headed by its long-time executive director Sandy Close.

Then came a full Immunization Drive held at the Seafood City and Asian Seafood Market, Chaiya Meditation Monastery, and the Sikh Temple in Las Vegas from November till December; and at the Greenland Supermarket in February this year.

The Annual Immunization campaign benefits not only the Asian American communities but everyone who feels the need for flu shots to combat common ailments associated with winter particularly the seasonal flu epidemic.

The SNHC (or COALITION) is assisted by numerous volunteers from the medical professions such as nurses and doctors, pharmacists, and healthcare providers, students and youths and the media that provide coverage to disseminate information city-wide.

Words Of Wisdom For Parents Of Kids In Youth Sports

Being the parent of a child in youth sports can be an awesome experience. There is nothing like seeing your child learn new skills, make new friends, and then take the field or court and dazzle you with their performance. However, everyone who attends these kinds of games is aware of that one parent who simply does not seem to have a clue. This type of parent is the type who gets too into the game and ends up making a spectacle of themselves and embarrassing their children. While you may not believe you could ever be a parent like this, the potential is there for anyone to become too emotionally involved. Here are a few tips to help you avoid being that parent.

One of the first things you need to keep in mind when you are the parent of a child in youth sports is that it is ok if your child is not a super athlete. The point of having your child participate in sports should not be to see them hit it big as a professional athlete in their sport of choice. That is not to say that is not a good goal to have if they have the skills and abilities to do so, but having unrealistic expectations for your children sets them up for failure that could be devastating to their psychological health later on down the road.

In light of understanding this, you should avoid giving your child harsh criticism for not performing well during games and practices. You should always help your child understand where they are weak as a player, but never without massive amounts of encouragement to push them to do better. When you are pushing your child, make sure that you are not pushing too hard or that you are making winning or losing the focal point of their experience in youth sports.

Finally, you want to make sure to keep your cool in the middle of youth sports games. Try not to take it personally if your child gets fouled or if the other team is trouncing them on the scoreboard. While it is a parents instinct to protect their children, many who get passionate at these moments often vent and end up demonstrating poor sportsmanship. This is not only embarrassing, but it also sets a horrible example for your children to look up to. After all, molding a good and healthy attitude in sports is very important.
